This role is central to ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing products from our facility. You will be responsible for managing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying shipment contents, and maintaining meticulous records. Responsibilities:
- Process all outbound shipments accurately, verifying product details and quantities against orders.
- Generate and affix correct shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading).
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Ensure all shipments are properly packed, secured, and staged for collection.
- Maintain up-to-date shipping logs and update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with shipment status.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers regarding shipping information.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Conduct periodic checks of shipping areas for accuracy, compliance, and safety.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and other warehouse tasks as directed.
- Report any shipping errors, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further training in logistics or supply chain management is beneficial.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk, Shipping Coordinator, or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and online carrier portals.
- Solid understanding of shipping documentation, domestic and international regulations (if applicable).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting tasks up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with WMS is a plus.
