We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Worker to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is integral to our logistics operations, involving the efficient handling of goods within our facility. You will be involved in receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment. A strong work ethic, physical capability, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this position. Contribute to a smooth and efficient supply chain in a dynamic warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming inventory, verifying quantities and conditions.
- Accurately pick items to fulfill customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
- Pack orders securely for safe transit and label them appropriately.
- Stage orders for shipment and assist with loading trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all warehouse safety standards.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Operate manual material handling equipment safely.
- Always use appropriate PPE provided by the company.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar environment is beneficial.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Capacity for lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and logistics best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
