Are you a natural leader with a passion for logistics and operational excellence? We are looking for a motivated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our Sacramento, California operations. In this vital role, you will manage daily warehouse activities, supervise a team of warehouse associates, and ensure the smooth flow of goods. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of productivity, safety, and efficiency. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures, focusing on safety and efficiency.
- Manage inventory control and ensure accuracy of stock levels.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the use of proper PPE.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement in logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics principles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to safety and knowledge of best practices, including hazard identification and PPE usage.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management and reporting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
