We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our busy logistics facility in Seattle, Washington. This role is essential for managing the inflow of goods into our warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment shipments arrive. You will be responsible for unloading incoming freight, verifying deliveries against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately stocking received items. The ideal candidate is meticulous, organized, and has a keen eye for detail. Your role is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory and supporting the overall logistics workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips, noting any discrepancies.
- Inspect incoming products for damage or defects and report any issues.
- Accurately document all received items into the inventory management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth receiving operations.
- Support other logistics functions as needed to maintain operational flow.
This position requires the ability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, and lifting. A strong commitment to safety, including the correct use of PPE and employing safe lifting practices, is paramount.
