Our Distribution Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, is looking for an energetic Distribution Center Associate to become an integral part of our operations. This role is essential for managing the flow of goods and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be involved in various tasks, from receiving and inspecting merchandise to fulfilling customer orders accurately. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately pick, pack, and label products for shipment.
- Operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, after proper training and certification.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Assist with regular inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Must be capable of consistent lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Commitment to safety standards and procedures.
- Understanding of general logistics operations is helpful.
