Are you a detail-oriented individual looking for a rewarding role? We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our Tampa, Florida warehouse! As a key member of our logistics team, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods. Your primary responsibilities include accurately unloading shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all received items. You will play a vital part in maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring a smooth flow of products into our facility. Maintaining a safe work environment, including the correct use of PPE, is a top priority. This is a great opportunity to build your career in warehousing and contribute to a reliable supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers.
- Verify product counts and descriptions against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming goods for any damages or discrepancies.
- Accurately document all received items into the inventory system.
- Tag and label inventory for proper storage.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors immediately.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 30 pounds as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or inventory control is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Excellent communication skills.
