We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators to join our bustling warehouse and distribution center in Dallas, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, replenish, and stage products within the facility. This role is critical for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding high standards of safety within our logistics operations. You will work closely with other team members to ensure overall warehouse efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to transport materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently.
- Move products from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to picking or shipping areas.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free from obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and the proper use of required PPE.
- Support the shipping and receiving teams as needed.
- Contribute to team goals and overall warehouse productivity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification is mandatory.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
