We are looking for motivated Warehouse Associates to join our busy distribution center in Detroit, Michigan. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital role in our logistics operations, from receiving and stocking goods to picking and packing orders for shipment. This position requires individuals who are detail-oriented, energetic, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. You will be expected to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced setting, contributing directly to the success of our supply chain. We value teamwork and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stock merchandise accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders using RF scanners and other equipment.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse or general labor experience preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Capacity for lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Familiarity with basic logistics concepts is helpful.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
