Our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage daily warehouse activities. The Warehouse Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring efficient operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving. This position requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse logistics. You will be responsible for coordinating the workflow of warehouse staff, optimizing space utilization, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence. You will contribute to process improvements, manage resources effectively, and ensure compliance with all safety standards. This includes conducting regular safety audits, enforcing the use of PPE, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the team. The role involves significant interaction with team members, supervisors, and potentially external partners to ensure seamless operations. Key duties include scheduling staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, managing inventory accuracy through cycle counts, and troubleshooting operational issues. Effective communication and strong organizational skills are essential. The ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic logistics setting is crucial. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Coordinate and manage the workload of warehouse staff.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Ensure efficient use of warehouse space and resources.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and the proper use of PPE.
- Train new employees on warehouse operations and safety protocols.
- Manage shipping and receiving schedules to meet deadlines.
- Identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or similar role.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in WMS and other warehouse management software.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to enforce safety standards and ensure compliance.
- Experience with physical inventory management and lifting up to 50 lbs.
