Join our growing team as a Forklift Operator in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma! We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role will be vital in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our distribution center, contributing directly to our logistics operations. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving materials between departments, and ensuring that inventory is stored securely and efficiently. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas and production lines.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Assist with inventory control by ensuring accurate placement and tracking of goods.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental and company logistics goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, up to 70 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
