We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating specialized powered industrial trucks to move materials around a warehouse. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets of goods, and transporting materials to and from storage areas. You will need to maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Experience with pallet racking systems and inventory management is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety and efficiency. We offer a competitive hourly wage and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and company goods between various stages of production and storage.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on reach trucks and other equipment before and after use.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stocktaking as needed.
- Follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve operational goals.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to a supervisor.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
The successful candidate will be comfortable with lifting requirements and working in a fast-paced logistics environment. A valid certification for reach truck operation is required.
