Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in sunny San Diego, California. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. Responsibilities:
  • Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records using WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Implementing and improving inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitoring stock levels and identifying potential shortages or overages.
  • Coordinating with receiving, shipping, and other departments to resolve inventory issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assisting with the training of new warehouse staff on inventory procedures.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce inventory loss and improve efficiency in logistics operations.
  • Performing general warehouse duties as needed, which may involve lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Logistics or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and proper lifting techniques.
