As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders or pick lists. This role demands precision, speed, and a thorough understanding of inventory management systems. You will play a critical part in the fulfillment process, ensuring that the right products are picked, verified, and prepared for shipment. Your contribution directly impacts customer satisfaction and the overall success of our logistics chain. We value teamwork, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Verify picked items against order slips to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety standards.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or product damage immediately.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and full stocktakes.
- Follow all company guidelines and procedures, especially those related to safety.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking quotas and deadlines.
- Ensure correct use of all required PPE.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately. Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, and reaching is necessary. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly. Familiarity with warehouse layouts and inventory systems is advantageous. A strong commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE is essential. Must be able to stand for extended periods. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are required. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. This is a physically demanding role within a fast-paced logistics environment.
