Join our team as a Warehouse Technician in vibrant Miami, Florida! We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to ensure the optimal performance and maintenance of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and smooth operation of our entire Logistics network. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a deep commitment to workplace Safety . You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, conducting repairs, and ensuring all machinery, including forklifts, conveyor belts, and automated systems, are in excellent working condition. Your proactive approach to maintenance will minimize downtime and keep our operations running at peak performance. This position requires hands-on work in a dynamic warehouse environment, where adherence to strict safety protocols is paramount. You will be required to use appropriate PPE , such as safety glasses, gloves, and sturdy footwear, at all times. The role also involves physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and Lifting of parts and equipment, potentially weighing up to 75 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ensure all equipment, including forklifts and conveyor systems, meets operational and Safety standards.
- Perform scheduled maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Respond to emergency repair requests promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to identify equipment needs and potential improvements.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to Safety and the use of PPE .
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of our Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification in a related field is a strong asset.
- Previous experience as a maintenance technician in a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of warehouse equipment and operational processes.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability for standing, walking, bending, climbing, and Lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to wear required PPE .
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
