We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders by picking items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, handling a variety of products. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations using an order list or scanner.
- Verify product quantities and types against order details.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Label packages with correct shipping information.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to order fulfillment and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and packing goals.
- Report any discrepancies or damages immediately to a supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order picking lists and shipping labels.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse setting, which may involve varying temperatures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of basic safety procedures and adherence to them.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
