We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial to the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are handled safely and effectively. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, so a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring all items are secured properly.
- Perform routine checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order, reporting any issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the proper use of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
