Our Sacramento, California facility is seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to lead our daily warehouse operations. This pivotal role involves managing inventory, overseeing shipping and receiving, coordinating staff, and ensuring the smooth, efficient flow of goods. As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will be instrumental in optimizing warehouse layout, implementing best practices in logistics, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Your responsibilities will include supervising warehouse associates, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, managing inventory accuracy through rigorous cycle counting, and troubleshooting operational challenges. You will collaborate with management to develop and implement process improvements, ensure compliance with all safety regulations, and uphold the highest standards of operational excellence. A strong understanding of WMS and experience with inventory control are essential. The ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments is crucial. This position requires leadership qualities, problem-solving skills, and a dedication to maintaining a high level of efficiency and safety. Adherence to all safety guidelines and the mandatory use of PPE are critical components of this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
- Supervise and direct warehouse staff.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counting and reconciliation.
- Ensure efficient receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping processes.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Ability to manage staff and enforce safety protocols.
- Capability for physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
