We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of incoming shipments, ensuring all goods are received, inspected, and documented correctly. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our inventory management system and supporting the smooth flow of warehouse operations. You will work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies and ensure timely placement of goods into the warehouse. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount for success in this position. Responsibilities include unloading incoming freight, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and packing slips, accurately entering receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS), identifying and reporting damaged or short shipments, and organizing received goods for put-away. Adherence to all company safety protocols and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a fast-paced logistics environment. Experience with scanning equipment and basic computer skills are beneficial. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining accuracy. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Accurately record received items in the WMS.
- Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Familiarity with WMS is a plus.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
