We are hiring an experienced Reach Truck Operator for our Durham, North Carolina facility! This role is essential for maximizing our warehouse space and ensuring efficient movement of goods at height. You will operate a reach truck to put away and retrieve pallets from high-level racking systems. The ideal candidate possesses a current reach truck certification, a strong understanding of warehouse racking systems, and the ability to perform tasks that may require occasional Lifting . Your dedication to Safety is paramount; you must rigorously follow all operating procedures and wear appropriate PPE . Join our professional Logistics team and contribute to our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to put away and retrieve palletized inventory.
- Navigate warehouse aisles and maintain appropriate clearances.
- Accurately place and retrieve pallets from high-level racking.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the reach truck and report any defects.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counts.
- Follow all established warehouse Safety protocols and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE , including safety gear specific to equipment operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around racking and operational zones.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations.
- Ability to perform Lifting of up to 40 lbs when necessary for other tasks.
- Work cooperatively with other warehouse personnel.
- Comply with all company policies regarding equipment operation and material handling.
