Job Summary:
Our Durham, North Carolina distribution center is seeking a proactive and meticulous Inventory Control Specialist. This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, stocktaking, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to inventory processes. Your work will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of inventory management systems and best practices within the **logistics** industry. A commitment to **safety** and the proper use of **PPE** is non-negotiable. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Managing and optimizing warehouse storage space.
  • Implementing and enforcing inventory control procedures.
  • Training team members on inventory best practices.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment by adhering to all **safety** regulations and **PPE** guidelines.
This position requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent organizational skills. Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is highly desirable. While significant heavy **lifting** is not the primary focus, the ability to **lift** up to 25 pounds occasionally may be required.
