Job Summary:
Our New York City, New York facility is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. The Inventory Control Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our stock levels, optimizing warehouse efficiency, and preventing discrepancies. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and a deep understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management systems. You will be responsible for tracking, reporting, and resolving all inventory-related issues to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure product freshness.
  • Analyze inventory data and provide reports on stock levels, movement, and valuation.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain organized and accessible storage locations for all inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS) and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to enforce them.
  • Understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
  • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic warehouse environment and wearing required PPE.
