Border Protection Career
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Customs and Border Protection Officer. This role requires the ability to make rapid, accurate judgments and decisions with respect to the application of regulations, instructions, and procedures for importing and exporting merchandise.
Job Description
This position involves enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel. It also includes conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances, determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States, preventing illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods.
You will be required to complete a paid pre-academy orientation at your home port followed by an intensive 101-day training program at FLETC in Glynco GA. Successful completion is mandatory for this position.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum one year experience equivalent to GS-7 grade level including detaining suspected violators using proper methods enforce customs import/export regulation utilizing intelligence behavior analysis etc., or MS degree two years graduate study leading MS OR combination both.
