• Law Enforcement Experience: A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws; enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws; utilizing intelligence techniques; conducting interviews in law enforcement capacity.


• Citizenship Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen with primary residency in the United States for at least three out of the last five years.


• Veterans' Preference Eligibility:** Veterans who meet certain eligibility requirements may also qualify for an excepted service Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA).
