Role Responsibilities
As a Night Support Worker, you will be part of our Lancashire Young People Supported Accommodation services, assisting 18 young people (aged 16-21) across two locations: Parker House and The Bridge in Chorley. Your role will involve:
- Providing security, peace of mind, and companionship to young people during out-of-office hours.
- Ensuring the physical, social, and emotional support and development of the young residents.
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people, in line with our commitment to their well-being.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who can bring empathy and compassion to the night-time environment. Your skills and qualities should include:
- Ability to offer support and understanding during challenging night hours.
- Proficiency in using a computer for accurate record-keeping.
- Knowledge of reporting procedures for missing persons.
- Effective communication with out-of-office support, including The On Call team.
- Professionalism in answering phone calls and responding to inquiries.
- Being a positive role model for both colleagues and young residents.
As a dynamic team player with a positive attitude, you will need strong communication skills and a flexible approach to thrive in this rewarding yet challenging environment.
