We are looking for experienced QA Specialists with proven experience reviewing transcription work.
This is a final validation role. You will review completed transcription tasks before delivery to the client. Your work directly impacts AI speech recognition model development, so accuracy is critical.
This is not a transcription role. It is strictly a quality assurance position.

Key Responsibilities:
Review full audio files for segmentation accuracy
Validate transcription accuracy and completeness
Check spelling and formatting compliance
Verify accent identification
Ensure full adherence to project guidelines
Identify errors and provide corrections as needed
Mandatory Requirements
Proven experience as a QA reviewer on transcription projects
Prior experience reviewing segmented audio and transcripts
Experience with acoustic data annotation
Native-level proficiency in the target language
Strong English reading comprehension
Strong knowledge of spelling conventions
High attention to detail
Ability to apply detailed guidelines consistently
Stable internet connection
Pay Rates
Hourly rate: $11.81 per hour
If you work 20 hours per week, you can earn around $236.20 per week.
For reference, that's approximately $944.80 per month (assuming 4 weeks of work).
To get started on this project, here's what the qualification process looks like:
Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), a standard agreement required before beginning any project work
Complete a short calibration task (approximately 1 hour). A small sample of the actual work to demonstrate your QA skills. Passing this step is required to be fully qualified as a QA on the project.
NOTE: If your calibration results do not meet the QA quality threshold, but demonstrate strong transcription ability, you may be considered for a regular transcription role instead. The pay rate for transcription work differs and will be discussed if applicable.
Important Payment Information
Payment is based on the time spent working on tasks, which will be automatically tracked through the client's platform hosting the tasks.
The rate is $11.81 per hour. The total amount of $1,000.00 listed on the contract offer represents the maximum contract value and is not guaranteed pay.
A lump sum milestone payment will be released monthly based on the total hours worked during that month, as tracked within the client's platform.
Milestones will be created based on the data provided by the client for that month's completed work. The client gathers time and payment data through its platform and submits that information to Upwork. Upwork then processes payment accordingly.
Submitted work must meet the quality standards outlined in the detailed task guidelines, examples, and instructions within the client's platform to qualify for payment.
