The day-to-day responsibilities as a CBPO include enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations. You will also facilitate legitimate trade and travel while conducting inspections on individuals and conveyances.
The admissibility of individuals seeking entry into the United States falls under your jurisdiction as well as preventing illegal entry through smuggling goods or narcotics.
A wide range of locations are available across different states including Arizona, California, Florida, Maine etc., with varying degrees of recruitment incentives offered depending on duty location assignments;
promotions within this position are at agency discretion allowing room for professional growth along designated career ladders based upon successfully completing required training programs especially when maintaining high standards set forth by Federal Law Enforcement Training Center requirements such that each agent graduates having demonstrated proficiency appropriate level employment demand.
