Overview: The Senior Azure Solutions Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and supporting Azure environments for our hosting services. This position focuses on enhancing system stability and performance while ensuring a strong security posture. The engineer will lead complex migration and onboarding processes for clients demanding high technical expertise, maintaining a customer-centric approach throughout. Key Responsibilities: Deliver well-structured bills of materials and statements of work for client projects using the Azure stack. Stay adaptable in the dynamic Microsoft Cloud landscape. Collaborate with management on strategies for cloud infrastructure rollout. Understand and integrate Azure networking with LAN/WAN technologies, including ExpressRoute and site-to-site VPNs. Optimize Azure storage management, exploring future options and their strategic use. Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of Azure solutions, including design, monitoring, and financial implications. Oversee the management and maintenance of Azure systems for both cloud and traditional managed services. Lead the design of Azure solutions that involve Cloud/Data Center services. Gather requirements, design, and deploy solutions tailored to business needs. Act as the technical lead in onboarding and migrating projects to Azure, executing resource builds and migrations. Work with various third-party applications for seamless integration into Azure. Create and manage automation scripts to streamline tasks and scale environments. Facilitate regulatory audits (PCI, HIPAA, etc.) and design necessary remediation. Respond promptly to support tickets, documenting incidents in the case management system. Enforce system security guidelines for clients, focusing on Azure resources. Provide exceptional customer service, educating clients on system operations and applications. Utilize knowledge bases to resolve incidents and requests efficiently, adhering to incident management standards. Deliver effective troubleshooting and creative solutions to user problems of varying complexities, ensuring client productivity. Manage the incident resolution process by following up with support teams and users to ensure timely resolution and high customer satisfaction. Continuously update knowledge on Azure services and support policies to offer accurate solutions. Assist in developing internal documentation and procedures for customer environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Self-motivated with keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Required Technical Experience/Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Services, including Azure IaaS/PaaS, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, and Storage. Experience configuring Azure auto-scaling features. Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Teams and Enterprise Mobility and Security Suite. Familiarity with PowerShell for basic automation. Proficiency in Microsoft Core technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, major network protocols). Strong understanding of Azure Security Solutions and Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS). General networking concepts expertise. Extensive experience in migrating clients and services to Microsoft Cloud and working with Windows Server Operating Systems. This role typically operates Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern, with flexibility needed for occasional after-hours work based on client requirements. Candidates have the option to work remotely, with some on-site requirements at Weidenhammer or client locations. Additionally, participation as an escalation point for the on-call team is expected roughly every six weeks. Travel: Travel will be determined by customer engagements. Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with an IT focus is preferred. A minimum of 4 years of related experience is required.
