This position functions as a SystemsAdministrator as part of a dynamic team of IT professionals to assist with thedevelopment and support of on-premises data center systems and cloudenvironments for the University. Theposition reports to the Director of Technology Infrastructure to provide datacenteroperations, operating system and application installation and upgrades, cloudservice management, customer support, and administration of identity and accessmanagement systems with commitment to information security.
OVERVIEW AND ROLE SCOPE OF TEAM AND/OR TASKS Colorado Mesa University's (CMU) Information TechnologyDepartment is welcoming applications for a Systems Administrator. As part of atalented team of systems and networking professionals, you will workcollaboratively to provide support for CMU's technology infrastructure,including the administration, maintenance, and optimization of servers,storage, virtualization platforms, integrations, enterprise applications, cloudservices, and core campus services that sustain the university's academic andadministrative operations. You will apply established security standards andbest practices as part of routine system administration to help ensurereliability, stability, and compliance with CMU's information securitypolicies.

CAPACITY REQUIREMENTS • Resolving ITSM tickets forservice requests and handling incidents, with prompt and professionalcommunication • Provide Tier-3 end-usersupport for Computer Support Services for desktop, mobile device, printing,network access, etc • Provide systemsadministration for on-premise datacenter operations, servers and cloud services • Support hardware andsoftware for data storage and backup systems • Perform and/or monitorsystem backups and restores • Work with our team to manageIdentity and Access Management (IAM) for a variety of systems, including ActiveDirectory, Entra, Microsoft 365 • Help implement systemsintegrations and single sign-on (SSO) configurations • Work with our team andmanaged services to maintain the security of our systems • Write documentation forboth systems team and end-users • Maintain and write scripts as needed to automate systems tasks using Ruby,Python, Perl or other scripting languages • Collaborate across departments with users of varying technical abilities • Perform other related duties assigned by IT administration

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE FOR RIGHT FIT • Bachelor's Degree in arelated field from a regionally accredited four-year college or university, oran equivalent combination of education and experience • Familiaritywith managing Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra • Familiarity with managing Linux servers, command line tools, scriptinglanguages • Goodcommunication skills • Experience in a Higher Ed environment is preferred
