HGV Technician

This is a fantastic chance for HGV Technicians looking to work with a prestigious logistics company, servicing and repairing a modern, well-maintained fleet of vehicles. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Repairing and maintaining our HGV fleet to comply with legal and company standards.
• Actively seeking solutions to challenges while embracing a safe and efficient operating approach.

• Location: Bridgwater Depot (TA6 6DF)
• Contract: Full Time / Permanent
• Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7
• Salary: From £20.04 per hour - £26.69 per hour
• Premiums:
  • Overtime rate - 1.125x hourly rate
  • Saturday - 1.125x hourly rate
  • Sundays and bank holidays - 1.5x hourly rate
  • Unsociable hours (6pm - 4am) - 14.25% hourly rate

As an HGV Technician, your role will include, but not be limited to:

• Inspecting and maintaining our HGV fleet.
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and transporting them to the test centre.
• Recording vehicle defects and maintaining accurate records of work carried out.
• Repairing minor accident damage.
• Carrying out fault diagnosis.
• Prioritizing safety in all aspects of your work.

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:

• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize your workload.
• Qualifications: City & Guilds part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
• Commercial experience with HGVs is essential.
• A Class C+E licence is preferable but not essential.
