Job Overview

We are seeking a full-time Siding Field Assistant in Edmonton. You are responsible to safely and effectively collect and transport material pickups/returns to/from job sites and suppliers. You support operational effectiveness cleanliness, compliance and sustainability initiatives and ensure timely pickups and maintain a professional presence on site.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Collecting and transporting materials to job sites safely and efficiently.
• Returning material overages from job sites to suppliers ensuring paperwork accuracy.
• Operating company vehicles safely, courteously, and in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations and reporting vehicle maintenance needs and ensure timely servicing
• Coordinating with Site Supervisors and Estimators to schedule material pickups and deliveries.
• Communicating delays, issues, or additional material needs promptly.
• Adhering to site-specific safety protocols and maintaining hazard awareness, and reporting safety concerns to direct manager and/or safety department. Completing hazard assessments and ensuring proper PPE is worn at all times.
• Representing Empire Envelope professionally with builders, suppliers, and trades, upholding and protecting Empire Envelope's high standards of safety and quality.

Essential Requirements

• High school diploma 
• Class 5 driver's licence, clean driver's abstract.
• Experience operating dump box trucks or similar vehicles. 
• Comfortable using office equipment and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint) and service management software. 
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and situational awareness of physical work environment.
• Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions

You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
