Description

You will report directly to our Sr Field Service Supervisor, and your primary work location will be based in Hamilton, however, travel will be required in surrounding areas.  

In this role, you will have a direct impact on the success of our field service operations and the satisfaction of our customers, serving multiple lines of business including manufacturing, condominium and healthcare and  long-term care facilities. Your technical expertise and support will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our services.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position requires travel in Hamilton and surrounding area.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance functions and troubleshooting of machinery to reduce downtime and maximize efficiencies.
  • Operate and maintain all mechanical equipment and other equipment including chillers, refrigeration, boilers, pumps, compressors, condensers, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems under supervision of the senior member of the team.
  • Provide end-to-end delivery of Honeywell solutions.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical issues.
Qualifications

Hourly rate for this position is $38.48/hour as per the Collective Labor Agreement, Union Local 787 located in Hamilton, Ontario. 

YOU MUST HAVE

  • G2 Gas Fitter License.
  • Ozone Depletion Prevention License.
  • Be a member of Local UA 787 or willing to be part of Local UA 787.
  • Valid G Driver's License
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an apprentice working with mechanical systems (boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, heat wheels, air conditioning units and refrigeration.)
  • Minimum 1 year experience using MS Office and other software tools.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. frequently and working at heights from lifts and ladders.
  • Must be able to work after hours and on call as required
