Senior Systems Engineer Client : BAE SystemsSite/Locations: Broad Oak, PortsmouthDuration : 12 monthsWorking hours/pattern: 3-4 days on site per week (could change depending on the requirements of the role)Hourly Rate £50.79 PAYE or £68.55 UmbrellaIR35 Status: Inside IR35 This role requires you to start on full SC Clearance Overview:We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our Simulation & Training team, supporting the MEMIS programme.In this role, you will apply Systems Engineering principles across the full engineering lifecycle - from requirements definition and design through to integration, customer acceptance and in-service support. You will work on software-intensive Simulation Systems, primarily integrated onto COTS platforms. Key Responsibilities

Apply Systems Engineering standards (ISO 15288 / ISO 12207) across the lifecycle
Develop system and sub-system designs, including software and network architectures
Manage and decompose requirements (e.g. DOORS Next)
Support system integration, testing and customer acceptance
Produce and review technical documentation
Provide technical guidance within the team

About You

Degree (or equivalent experience) in a STEM discipline
Experience delivering complex, software-based systems
Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles
Familiar with requirements management and architectural modelling tools
Experience in simulation systems or system modelling desirable
