Job Summary The Commercial Infrastructure Solutions Engineer is essential for partnering with account teams to evaluate customer data center environments and create customized infrastructure solutions that align with their strategic goals. This role involves building strong technical relationships with OEMs, training sales teams and customers, managing solution practice pipelines, and interacting with stakeholders to uncover technology opportunities across Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, and Services sectors. This position is hybrid, requiring presence at our SHI office located in Austin, TX. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with account teams to assess customer data center environments and related infrastructure technologies.
Design and recommend tailored infrastructure solutions that meet customers' strategic objectives.
Develop and maintain strong technical relationships with OEMs and strategic partners, staying updated on product information.
Provide training and technical education to sales teams and customers, enhancing their product knowledge.
Serve as a trusted IT advisor to clients, working closely with Field Account Executives.
Manage the solution practice pipeline, develop strategies for top prospects, and drive new business acquisition.
Identify and explore technological opportunities within Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, Collaboration, and Services domains.
Create solutions optimized for customers’ needs and budgets through strategic planning.
Engage effectively with various client contacts, including CIOs, IT Directors, and CTOs for comprehensive account management.
Empower sales teams with knowledge on technical selling, product training, services, and emerging technology trends.

Qualifications Experience in complex Data Center sales is preferred.
Ability to design data center infrastructures, including hybrid cloud, hyper-converged systems, SDDC, and more.
Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies and related tools.
Ability to communicate complex technical products and services effectively.
Familiarity with technologies such as Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, and AWS.
Experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions is a plus.
Additional Requirements A Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience is required.
3-5 years of experience in a similar role is ideal.
Willingness to travel for SHI, Partner, and Customer Events as necessary.
Preferred advanced certifications in mainstream technologies such as Dell, Cisco, VMware, or AWS.
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000, including base salary and bonus, and will vary based on individual knowledge, skills, and experience.
