Lactation Consultant Lead Job Summary: This role is responsible for providing expert lactation support and education to breastfeeding mothers and infants. The Lactation Consultant Lead oversees a team of lactation consultants, offering in-person consultations, telephone follow-ups, and outpatient services to address lactation challenges and promote breastfeeding success. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience working with diverse patient populations, and the ability to assess and manage complex lactation issues using the nursing process. They will be responsible for leading a team of lactation consultants, training staff on best practices in lactation care, developing educational materials and resources for patients and families,, collecting data related to breast feeding rates , analyzing trends,and participating in quality improvement initiatives.About This Role We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise as a Lactation consultant who wants to make an impact by leading our healthcare system’s efforts related specifically within maternal child health Women's Health Clinical setting.
