We're hiring a senior engineer to help build a deterministic backend platform for AI companions using (App Router), TypeScript, Prisma, and Postgres.
This is backend/platform engineering — not prompt engineering or "AI agent" experimentation.
Core Work (Initial Project)
Platform MVP-0 + upstream evidence systems, including:
request validation and deterministic gating
permission / allowance checks (pre-model)
structured audit logging (traceable decisions)
upstream evidence attachment (geography, identification signals, subject-matter signals)
Prisma/Postgres integration where needed
Required Skills
Strong TypeScript
Strong App Router
Backend API + middleware experience
Prisma + Postgres
Clean, testable code (unit tests)
You must be comfortable implementing from strict specs without improvising behavior.
Nice to Have
Auth systems or similar)
Rate limiting
Policy / permissions systems (RBAC)
LLM API integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
How We Work
Specs define system behavior.
Tasks are discrete and artifact-based.
"Done" means code + required artifacts, not explanations.
