Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tableting / Encapsulation Lead Hand to support and lead daily production activities across multiple tablet compression machines and encapsulation machines. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating operators, ensuring GMP compliance, and meeting production and quality targets in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and coordinate operators across tableting and encapsulation machines to meet production targets on day-to-day basis schedules.
  • Perform and oversees equipment's cleaning, setup, changeover, trouble shooting of machines /product problems and operations as per SOPs.
  • To maintain the spare parts, change parts and tooling's records before and after operations and cleaning procedures.
  • Review work orders and ensure accurate documentation and batch record completion.
  • To follow the assigned tasks, prioritize workloads as per production plans to achieve the targets efficiently.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for production issues, quality concerns, and equipment's as well as product related challenges.
  • Monitor in-process checks and set up the equipments accordingly to run machines smoothly.
  • Training and support to operators on setup, operations, cleaning and to follow GDP, GMP, safety compliance.
  • Monitor operators' performance and to take part in performance dialogue every day for providing real-time data and feedback to reinforce quality, efficiency, production targets and QMS compliance.
  • Verify materials and labels to complies work orders instructions and batch documentation.
  • To maintain the area as per GMP, safety, and housekeeping standards at all the times.
  • Act as first point of contact for floor-level production and quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and workflow.
  • Coordinate effectively with supervisors, quality, maintenance, and other departments as needed.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment on the production floor.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Secondary school education and graduation required
  • 2-4 years experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or similar regulated manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience with tablet compression and/or encapsulation equipment
  • Prior lead, senior operator, or mentoring experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of GMPs and production documentation
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and adjustments
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment

Job location: Maple Ridge, BC 

Schedule: Monday-Friday (required availability to work in morning or evening shifts and weekends based on business requirement)
