We Offer
  • Competitive Pay: $33.50 per hour (trip rated); $76,500 - $104,500 annually
  • Pension: $3.23/hr or approximately $7,752 per year- 100% paid by Arrow

  • Shift: Swing shift - 1 week of days, Monday to Friday followed by one week of nights, Monday to Friday hour shifts.

Responsibilities

As an Arrow wood fibre driver, you are always close to home. Drivers haul wood fibre locally using B-train trailers, primarily transporting wood chips, as well as sawdust and hogfuel. Travel occurs on various Interior BC highways, including Hwy 1 (Coquihalla), Hwy 5, and Hwy 97.

  • Oversee cargo handling and load securement, including equipment preparation, safe work practices, and compliance with applicable Acts and regulations.

  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety, roadworthiness, and regulatory compliance.

  • Comply with all applicable legislation, including safe operation, hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weight and dimension requirements.

  • Record, maintain, and verify all required documentation, including bills of lading, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Operate communication and onboard equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange information with bases, supervisors, and other drivers.

  • Complete electronic logs related to hours of service and vehicle service or repair status.

  • Maintain professional and respectful interactions with customers, co-workers, and the public.

You Possess
  • A positive attitude
  • Class 1 truck driver's license
  • Driver's abstract with no suspensions
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • At least two job references
  • B train experience is required
  • Previous winter and mountain driving experience required
