The RoleA secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to provide classroom cover across Key Stages 3 and 4 from February 2026. This could be a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the chance to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.You will supervise classes in the absence of teaching staff, deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour, and ensure pupils remain on task. There is no planning or marking required, but strong classroom presence and the ability to follow school procedures consistently are essential.The CandidateThe successful candidate will:
  • Have experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable)
  • Be confident managing behaviour across KS3 and KS4
  • Communicate clearly and set firm expectations
  • Be adaptable, professional, and reliable
