Safeguard America's Borders
CBP officers work at one of 328 ports along U.S. land borders or within seaports. Their primary responsibility is to protect national security by enforcing customs laws while allowing legitimate travelers to enter the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce Customs Laws : Conduct inspections of people and cargo for potential smuggling activity;
- Facilitate Trade And Travel : Process travelers' documents; inspect luggage;
