Responsibilities
Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
Drive, operate and maintain assigned units (Luggers, Vac trucks, Vans etc.) to customer sites.
Loading and unloading equipment with waste.
Guarantee proper loading and unloading of hazardous/non-hazardous waste.
Perform pre-and-post-trip inspections and ensure the equipment is always mechanically sound and in good working order.
Ensure proper placarding of vehicles to meet all requirements and regulations.
Complete field level risk assessments and other related paperwork.
Work as part of a team with customers, co-workers & supervisors.
Qualifications
Class AZ Driver's License required.
Hazardous Waste/TDG experience highly preferred.
Previous Vacuum truck and/or lugger operating experience.
Ability to drive up to an 18-speed manual transmission required.
Physically – able to move drums, skids, loadings/unloading vans.
Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.
Comfortable to be fitted for a respirator (face must be clean shaven at all times).
Must be able to successfully pass a drug and alcohol assessment.
