We are looking for a business student to join our Procurement Operations team for a month placement.
Reporting directly to the Procurement Supervisor, the Procurement Operations Co-op will ensure internal customers are receiving the products and services as per the agreements and ensure the procurement services are delivered as per all internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Who you are:
Must be enrolled in a co-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian university.
Enrolled in a Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or Business degree
Excellent interpersonal, organization skills and written & verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to deliver appropriate customer service, work independently and in a team as required
Ability to perform under time pressures and in a fast-paced work environment when required
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond in a timely manner to changing environments.
Oracle experience would be an asset

What you will do:
Issuing and approving purchase orders in accordance with ATCO policy to ensure ethicality, legality and completeness and that appropriate terms and conditions are in place, mitigating risk to ATCO.
Reviewing goods and services requests with internal customers and provides procurement services, including obtaining price and delivery information.
Review, processing, coding, and trouble shooting of invoices
Review open PO reports and follow process to close commitments
Weekly and month end reporting as required
Expediting goods and services as required
Measures supplier performance against key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.
Communicates efficiently to resolve issues with all internal and external clients.
Engaging with internal customers to ensure understanding and shared compliance of ATCO Procurement policies.
Working collaboratively with the Procurement Specialists to identify competitive goods, suppliers and other cost savings opportunities.
Additional tasks as assigned to assist Procurement Specialists and Office Administrative Coordinators
Other duties as assigned.
