What can you expect from this position?
Reporting to the Associate Director, Product Management, the Product Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing Pearson's digital transformation by leading the vision, strategy, and delivery of digital products that improve passenger experience and operational efficiency. You will steward a persistent, cross functional product team and translate complex operational and customer needs into secure, reliable, and high value digital solutions. As a Product Manager, you will:
Shape the product vision, roadmap, and measurable objectives aligned with journey and business priorities.
Lead product discovery with internal partners, frontline users, and vendors to uncover opportunities, risks, and insights.
Translate operational and customer needs into clear product specifications and user stories.
Own and manage an integrated product backlog, balancing features, technical debt, compliance, and experience outcomes.
Measure product performance and health, using analytics to drive prioritization and optimization.
Coordinate release planning with Technology Delivery, ensuring readiness and alignment across functions.
Partner with IT Security, Enterprise Architecture, and other domain teams to ensure standards and risk posture are met.
Lead effective communication of product updates through portfolio forums and stakeholder sessions.
Foster cross-functional team collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
This is the role for you, if you have:
5+ years of progressive experience in technology product management, with a proven track record of delivering impactful digital products. Experience within airlines or the broader aviation sector is an asset.
3+ years of cross-functional leadership experience, with the ability to influence without authority and manage vendor relationships effectively.‑functional leadership experience, with the ability to influence without authority and manage vendor relationships effectively.
Knowledge of digital platforms, APIs, systems integrations, UX principles, and customer journey mapping, ideally within complex operational environments.
Experience applying design thinking frameworks to define problems, validate assumptions, and shape high value solutions.
Strong communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills to align diverse stakeholders around shared goals and product outcomes.
Proficiency with modern product and collaboration tools, such as Jira, ProductPlan/Roadmunk, Figma/Miro, and product analytics platforms.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field, with Agile product certifications (e.g., CSPO, Pragmatic, SAFe) considered an asset.
Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
