You are a Quality Advisor, the primary authority responsible for all Quality Assurance activities for the Fibre to the Home (FTTH) program. You have overall accountability for quality performance and lead the execution, enforcement, and continuous improvement of the QA program.
You provide functional leadership to QA Coordinators and QA Inspectors, ensuring consistent application of quality standards, timely resolution of non-conformances, and alignment with company, client, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:
Acts as the single point of accountability for quality on the project. Provides functional leadership and technical direction to QA Coordinators and QA Inspectors, prioritizes QA activities, and makes final quality-related recommendations and escalations to Management
Perform documentation of quality assurance activities, including inspection, test plans and reporting to ensure project-specific quality management information is readily available, including the completion of required quality documentation
Monitors and controls costs related to own work and assigned projects, providing input to the quality team on financial matters
Guides the implementation and project-level execution of Ledcor's quality program and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives
Reviews contract documents and advises on the development of the project quality plan, advising the Quality Manager of any necessary changes or revisions
Serves as a point of contact for quality-related inquiries and interfaces and communicates (written and oral) with management, clients, and subcontractors
Identify, document, and communicate quality issues or deviations from project standards
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance/control, preferably in the construction industry
Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and inspection techniques (e.g., ISO 9001, CSA standards, or similar frameworks)
Strong knowledge of FTTH network construction, including civil, aerial, conduit, splicing and fibre placement activities
Solid understanding of fibre optic installation standards, splicing practices, testing methods (OTDR, power meter), and as-built documentation requirements
Ability to interpret construction drawings, fibre design packages, specifications, and client standards for FTTH deployments
Proficiency in quality management tools and software
Working knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to outside plant construction
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution
Working Conditions:
Flexible working conditions – both home and office based
Some travel will be required to site and/or office locations within Ontario
Compensation
$80, $110,000.00
This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
