This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with the hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.

This is a 6-Month Contract (March 1 to August 31, 2026).

Location : Montreal/Ottawa.

Your role

The Training Advisor supports the complete lifecycle of training activities for the new Oracle Fusion implementation. From needs analysis to evaluation, the Training Advisor will blend instructional design and project management to support business objectives. The Training Advisor will collaborate directly with business leaders, and lead key training initiatives to prepare users for the new software and associated operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

Training and Development:

  • Review, refine, and deliver comprehensive training programs on software, processes, and systems for stakeholders including end-users and internal trainers (Train-the-Trainer), ensuring the quality of the learning experience.

  • Partner with subject matter experts to draft and validate training documentation and supplemental learning materials, ensuring accuracy of content and high-quality translations.

  • Coach and mentor internal trainers on course development and effective facilitation techniques to enhance instructional quality.

  • Organize and lead informational sessions to update user groups on changes to financial systems, processes, and other relevant updates.

  • Identify and monitor training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making recommendations for improvement as necessary.

  • Design and develop blended learning solutions, including e-learning modules, job aids, and instructor-led training (ILT).

Strategy and Program Management:

  • Consult with clients (both internal and external) to conduct needs assessments and develop training plans aligning with organizational priorities and goals.

  • Develop and execute multi-platform training strategies targeted at high-impact change areas identified through project assessments.

  • Provide key input for budget estimates, monitor spending, and implement corrective measures to remain within the assigned budget.

  • Oversee the organization, maintenance, and communication of the central training library, ensuring current and accessible materials.

Quality Assurance and Process Improvement:

  • Evaluate existing training materials, submit recommendations for continuous improvement and modification.

  • Validate the accuracy and relevance of translated training materials, ensuring terminology aligns with organizational standards.

  • Assess and report on the quality of training provided by external vendors to ensure it meets CBC/Radio-Canada standards.

Analytical and Strategic Skills:

  • Proven ability to analyze user needs, assess knowledge gaps, and strategically gauge learning requirements for individuals and teams.

  • Analytical and open-minded approach to creatively solve problems and improve training outcomes.

  • Meticulous approach to reviewing and ensuring the accuracy and relevance of translated training documentation.

Leadership And Communication Skills:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to explain technical processes to non-technical users.

  • Tactical "doer" mindset, focused on optimizing instructional content and participant experiences through strong execution.

  • Committed to staying current with emerging training methodologies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a recognized university in a related field (Education, Human Resources, Communications, etc.) or equivalent.

  • Significant experience in designing, developing, and delivering training programs, preferably in a large-scale ERP implementation.

  • Professional-level fluency in both French and English.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willing and able to travel nationally and internationally as required for training delivery and project needs.

Strong Assets:

  • Experience with Oracle Guided Learning (OGL).

  • Experience with Google Workspace.

  • Previous experience with Digital Adoption Platforms (DAPs).

  • Possess a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles (Asset).
