What this role is all about:
This is the position where most banking professionals start their career. This front-line service and sales role will build the foundation for a long career in banking. Traditionally called a "teller", this role has evolved to include an elevated level of knowledge than previously required. Times have changed and so has the role. If you see yourself working in banking for the long run, this is where to start.
This is a role within our BlueShore Financial division, based out of our beautiful Kitsilano Branch located in the heart of the west side of Vancouver. This role is Monday-Friday with flexibility to move to a Tuesday-Saturday schedule.
What you'll do:
Process transactional needs of clients including cash transactions, deposits, withdrawals, loan/bill payments, cheque cashing/ordering, foreign currency, fund transfers, drafts, official cheques, and personal information updates on accounts.
Initiate conversations with clients to proactively identify their financial needs.
Enthusiastically sell banking products and services or refer clients with more complex requirements to specialized branch staff.
Apply and uphold branch policies, procedures and controls to meet compliance requirements and protect our branch and client's assets.
What you'll bring:
1-2 years of customer service and cash experience (sales experience preferred).
Some post-secondary education preferred.

Annual salary range: $46,700 - $51,000/year. Pay is based on your skills, experience, and the value you bring, with annual salary reviews. We recognize strong performance through meaningful recognition and, where applicable, performance bonuses tied to shared goals.
Health & wellness and Time away
We support your well-being with extended health and dental coverage, mental health support, and disability coverage. Rest matters. Enjoy vacation and personal days to recharge and take care of life outside of work.
Retirement & financial well-being
Plan confidently with generous RRSP contributions, optional employee contributions, and access to in-house financial advice. In addition, you'll have access to Beem member perks: Enjoy free banking, preferred lending and mortgage rates, and other exclusive member benefits.
