Applications are invited for a research associate position within the ENhancing Age Care Transition (ENACT) Quality program, led by Dr. Kaitlyn Tate. Dr. Tate is seeking a research associate to support ongoing research projects, contribute to the team's research, administrative, and educational activities, and assist in grant development for future research competitions. Coaching and mentorship will be provided for the role. The research program comprises a portfolio of ongoing projects funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Killam Trust and the Otipemisiwak Métis Government of the Métis Nation within Alberta (MNA). These projects primarily focus on the care of older adults during transitions to and from facility-based care settings. Dr. Tate also co-leads work in these areas with the MNA. The research associate will lead research activities under the direction of Dr. Tate, supporting data analysis, synthesis, and interpretation of findings, report writing, manuscript preparation, knowledge translation, and grant applications. They will also participate in project planning, team meetings, workshop development, and foster collaboration across disciplines and partners. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. It is an expectation that the Research Associate will be currently engaged in equity-oriented research. The successful candidate must have a proven record of research accomplishment, and they will have the opportunity to be a co-author on relevant manuscripts if co-authorship criteria are met, and a co-applicant for research funding if such an opportunity arises. They will work in a hybrid model (in-person or virtual, as applicable).
