Harvest has an immediate opening for a Team Lead, Information Technology, reporting to the Manager, Corporate Compliance & Information Technology. This is a leadership position responsible for managing the organization's informational/operational systems and technology infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to, Head Office, Field Sites, and all associated software, data, network, and mobility devices. This is a permanent full-time position based out of the Harvest Calgary office.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, mentorship and developmental guidance to the IT team
Manage IT staff, projects, external vendors, and consultants
Ensure IT & OT best practices, standards and guidelines are aligned with Executive Guidance and Vision
Assess deficiencies, and identify relationships and dependencies between new initiatives/systems and existing ones
Work with internal customers to understand their business processes and needs while managing expectations within the scope of existing business strategies
Create and maintain consolidated IT & OT G&A and Capital budgets
Maintain financial controls over expenditures within IT purview
Ensure IT General Controls are properly designed and operating effectively
Assist in managing the company's cybersecurity risk management program
Skills
Ability to provide translation and communication between technical teams and key stakeholders & leadership
Strong understanding of budget management and strategic leadership
Extensive experience managing external consultants, vendors and service providers and associated relationship management
Strong technical acumen and knowledge of emerging IT, OT and industry trends & technologies.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Knowledge of enterprise applications selection, deployment and sustainment including third party and in-house developed applications
Strong understanding and application of cybersecurity risk management practices
Qualifications
A degree, diploma, or certification in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience
Experience in an operational IT or OT role considered an asset
Working knowledge of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence considered an asset
