We are looking for a senior-level Python backend expert to provide technical consultation and potentially ongoing collaboration for an AI-driven SaaS platform currently under development. This role is NOT for junior or mid-level developers. We need someone who has deep experience designing scalable backend systems, architecting production-grade AI platforms, and making high-level technical decisions.
Project Overview :
We are building a modern AI-powered SaaS platform with a focus on performance, scalability, and clean architecture. The backend must support real-world usage, integrations with AI models/services, and production-ready infrastructure. At this stage, we need an experienced expert to review our architecture, guide technical decisions, and help ensure we are building on strong foundations before scaling further. Responsibilities Provide high-level backend architecture consultation Review existing system design and suggest improvements Help define scalable architecture patterns Design API structure and backend workflows Optimize performance and scalability strategies Advise on AI integration best practices (LLMs, async processing, pipelines, etc.) Ensure production-grade engineering standards Help plan future scaling and infrastructure decisions Optional: hands-on implementation depending on fit Required Skills & Experience 7+ years professional Python backend development Strong expertise with modern Python frameworks: FastAPI / Django / Flask (FastAPI preferred) Deep understanding of scalable architecture: Microservices / modular monolith Event-driven systems Async processing (Celery, Redis, queues, etc.) Experience building SaaS platforms API design (REST, GraphQL) Database design: PostgreSQL, NoSQL, performance optimization Cloud infrastructure
experience: AWS / GCP / Azure Docker, CI/CD pipelines AI integration experience: LLM APIs AI pipelines Background processing Strong Plus Experience with high-scale systems Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, etc.) Observability (logging, tracing, monitoring) Security best practices for SaaS Multi-tenant architecture experience Engagement Details Initial consultation phase (architecture review + recommendations) Potential for long-term collaboration if successful Flexible working hours Clear communication and professional mindset required
