About the Position:
The Vice President, Construction is a senior leadership role that resides within the Development Department whose primary responsibility is to lead the Construction team. They will provide planning, management, guidance and mentoring to the team. The Vice President will be the liaison between the field and Cologix leadership. The role will manage Directors, and Project Managers and 3rd Party Consultants across North America. This individual must have both written and oral communication skills commensurate with this level of regular communication.
What you do daily:- Provide daily leadership for our North American construction teams.
- Contribute to site evaluations and make recommendations for site selections
- Lead multiple construction teams in building greenfield data center deployments, modular construction projects and infrastructure upgrades
- Oversee expansion and renovation projects across the respective region
- Assist the Predevelopment team with design teams to create master development programs for site(s)
- Oversee site plans to achieve time, budget, and quality standards in a predictable fashion
- Oversee design/construction, commissioning services, and project cost estimates
- Develop plans for data center deployments and communicate cost, schedule, plans with internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for new and existing build outs
- Key contributing member on pursuit teams in sales pursuits
- Create cost effective rapid development deals for Hyperscale data center deployments
- Provide regular updates and report on progress and areas for further review by senior management
- Anticipate and resolve project issues and scheduling difficulties
- Create & build relationships that enhance our ability to be an industry leader
- Provide leadership to team members in a manner that enables them to achieve goals
- Provide direction and support to all direct reports to ensure all activities are aligned to the company strategy
- Work with the internal team to enhance project management processes and protocols
- Perform other duties as required
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical/Architectural Engineering or other related field
- 10+ years of experience within mission critical facilities
- Experience in the REIT/Data Center industry
- Extensive experience with management of MEP trades
- Must have a proven history which displays strong leadership skills, deep practical engineering knowledge, and a proven track record for timely project delivery, project management, cost control, and customer satisfaction
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
- Must be a capable, proven team player that both fosters and operates well within internal and external team environments
- Keen planning skills along with the ability to lead through influence and to be a proactive partner
- Able to solve problems at a tactical and functional level
- Travel is dependent on current projects at that given time

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual bonus.
