Position Purpose: The Casual Digital Fundraising Coordinator provides support for digital fundraising activities and initiatives, contributing to the achievement of the organization's annual fundraising goals.
Core Role Responsibilities:In consultation with the various members of the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy, this role will:
- Develop and implement a Digital Acquisition strategy for 2026, driving leads, solicitations, and conversions.
- Design and prepare capital campaign materials for the upcoming Indoor African Savanna project.
- Coordinate the refresh of content and required updates for the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy primary website and Shopify account.
- Coordinate and maintain google ads and google grants.
- Prepare external and internal materials, including but not limited to:
- Donor e-newsletter including maintenance of contact lists.
- Prepare monthly digital report.
- Coordinate and prepare Email solicitations campaigns and maintenance of contact lists.
- Prepare and execute TZWC Lead generation and digital acquisition strategies.
- Social media.
- Work with third party vendors to support digital fundraising, campaign, and comms.
- Support ongoing engagement, cultivation, and stewardship events and tactics as required.
- Backup to Communications Coordinator.
- Support Conservancy office/staff with phones, donor inquiries, accepting and processing of donations etc. as required.
- Follows all policies and stand operating procedures.
- Attends appropriate training as required.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Post-secondary education; preferably in the field of fundraising, communications/marketing and/or non-profit administration; or the equivalent amount of experience and training.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years' proven experience in a similar role.
- Proven writing skills and a strong attention to detail to allow for the preparation of resource materials, newsletters, correspondence, and concise but accurate reports.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, along with strong communications skills.
- Experience with photography and videography in a professional context is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and WHMIS legislation an asset.
- Must possess an unrestricted Class G driver's license valid in the Province of Ontario along with a good driving record.
- Must be knowledgeable in the use of computerized programs and systems.
- Must be able to work weekends, shifts and holidays as scheduled.
- Must be able to deal with staff and public in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Capable of meeting the physical requirements of the position.
